The plant is having area of around 2000 sq. meter. We have Installed Medium Frequency Furnaces of 150kw with crucible of 100kgs made by Electrotherm.
Below are the moulding process we follow:-
Green Sand Casting
The green sand casting process is the most widely-used process for casting ferrous and nonferrous metals. The process has evolved from a manually intensive operation to a highly mechanized and fully automated process.
In terms of weight, complexity and alloy composition, a wide range of castings can be produced via green sand casting. In terms of shape, the process can be used to cast parts as simple as ingots and as complex as engine blocks. It is commonly used for ferrous alloys; however, it can be used for almost any alloy, including those of aluminum, copper, magnesium and nickel.
Shell Moulding Casting
The shell moulding process is a precision sand casting process capable of producing castings with a superior surface finish and better dimensional accuracy than conventional sand castings. In shell-mold casting process the mold is made like a shell i.e., the thin or hollow mold is used so that weight of mold is less and handling of mold becomes easier.
These qualities of precision can be obtained in a wider range of alloys and with greater flexibility in design than die-casting and at a lower cost than investment casting. Shell-mold casting allows the use of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals, most commonly used molten metals are cast iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys and copper alloys.
Centrifugal Casting
Centrifugal casting is a process that delivers castings of very high material soundness and thus is the technology of choice for applications.
In the centrifugal casting process, molten liquid metal is poured into a spinning die. During the metal casting process, the die can be spinning either on a vertical or horizontal axis depending on the configuration of the desired part.
Ring and cylinder type shapes are cast vertically; tubular shapes are made with the horizontal centrifugal process. Either process may be used to produce multiple parts from a single casting. External structures and shaping can be cast in place to significantly reduce post-processing including machining or fabrication.
